Christmas Feeding Project 2013 - HistoryThe I Fed One Family leads a contingent of over 100 volunteers through the streets of the Kingston Metropolitan Area (KMA) and some sections of Spanish Town in Jamaica, West Indies, to distribute food to the homeless. The journey continues this year so join in this effort.

Activity Distribution of Christmas dinner
Target group Homeless living on the streets of Kingston, Portmore and Spanish Town (Jamaica, West Indies)
Locations Papine, Liguanea, Barbican, New Kingston, Half Way Tree, Cross Roads, Heroes Circle, Constant Spring, Three Miles, Spanish Town and along all connecting major roads
Dispatch Center Devon House, Kingston, Jamaica (one of National Geographic best place to eat ice cream worldwide)
Transportation Four (4) buses from the Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC)
Registration Pre-registration by login/sign up on website
The volunteers will be electronically assigned to groups. Each group will be assigned a bus with a specific route. The number of meals and beverages will be estimated for each route and loaded unto the bus. The groups will stop at strategic locations for the volunteers to disperse and distribute the meals and beverages to the homeless. In the event that meals are finished prematurely, volunteers at the dispatch station will be discharged with additional supplies to replenish the meal stock of that route.
